Jay Kwon, PT, DPT, CSCS
Hello! I’m Jay, and I’m a Physical Therapist and Running Coach. I’m on a mission to help runners break the cycle of persistent injury so they can train with confidence and live out their healthiest lives.
Running is core to my identity. The cycle of setting big goals, training hard, celebrating wins, and learning from mistakes molded me into the person I am today. Over the years, the sport has cultured a love for fitness, connected me to amazing people, and led me to breathtaking places.
But like countless others, running also brought me numerous injuries, from tendinopathies to stress fractures. Each time I stopped, the physical pain was nothing compared to the frustration, fear, and uncertainty that it came with, which impacted my work, relationships, and general outlook on life.
Thankfully, quality physical therapy always helped me recover and I was empowered by the notion of building back stronger through exercise. Inspired, I became a PT myself to share this gift with others.
However, my time in outpatient care exposed me to the system’s many flaws. Disillusionment grew, as I witnessed insurance lapses, dismissive attitudes toward runners, and harmful misinformation fail countless people. Runners deserve better.
Resilient Strides is my commitment to do just that - a program designed specifically with the physical and emotional needs of the runner put first. With the same passion I have for my own running, I aim to support every runner with respect, humility, excellence, and curiosity.
